On June 3, as The Black Lives Matter protests grew in strength, an open letter was published in the UK, calling on advertising leaders to commit to “actions, not words” by prioritising diversity, equality and inclusion, and harnessing “the cultural power of advertising” to bring prominence to the crisis of racial injustice.
Agencies were called upon to step up and take action, and this event is aimed at exploring these actions not seek out every answer, but to debate the questions and give platform to diversity of opinion.

What can we learn from the gender pay gap for ethnicity pay gap?
A recent IPA Census revealed BAME representation had dropped at UK agencies at each of the three highest levels of seniority. But whilst the reported highlighted a growing concern of representation, some commentators raised greater concerns about the possibility of the pay gap being even more alarming.
